Rocketmen were engaged by ad agency TKM9 to provide custom web development and build a micro-site powered by a unique map/marker based front-end. The campaign revolved around a Sportsgirl branded van that traveled around Australia, the website needed to track the van in real time as well as interactions with the van at it’s stop off points.
We used a number of web technologies to bring the site to life, including:
– Map Box integration and customisation
– jQuery based animation and user interaction
– WordPress powered frontend
– Live Twitter feed moderation and import/display
– Mobile specific frontend for smaller devices.
Although the campaign ran for only a couple of weeks the site tracked thousands of interactions and also served as a blogging/publishing platform to communicate with the public during the duation of the campaign. This project allowed Rocketmen to show it’s creative and highly technical approach to custom frontend application development.
